Donkey Kong Country 2 in Archipelago allows players to go through the DK isle with new features and Quality of Life changes that aim to make your journey quite enjoyable! All of the features present are:
There are several quality of life changes as well traps to keep players engaged, those are further disclosed on their respective sections.
There are a few Quality of Life additions for this game. The original game is quite hard, so they're very welcome especially for new users trying out this randomizer!
L or R. If they have the maximum amount of Kongs on screen, an extra hit will be granted which allows players to tank one hit without losing a Kong. A [K] letter will be drawn on the bottom left corner to indicate that an extra hit is active.SELECT during the map gameplay, players can decide what happens when obtaining an 1-Up from any source. This is indicated by a DIDDY/DIXIE icon on the botton right corner of the screen.
DKC2 in Archipelago has quite a few added locations, some can be a bit tricky.

DKC2 has quite a few traps that players can receive during a session. They may be a bit janky.
Freezes the player and they have to mash out of the ice.
Reverses the player's controls.
Makes the ground sticky.
Makes the ground slippery.
Spawns an active TNT barrel on top of the player.
DKC2 has support for a few linked features that allows players to interact in a interesting ways with other players.
Whenever players with EnergyLink active collect a banana, they will deposit a fraction of it in a shared Banana bank which gets converted to EnergyLink power (in bananas). DKC2 players with EnergyLink active can spend EnergyLink Bananas to purchase Backup DK Barrels which then they can use at any time in game.
Players can make use of the /request NUMBER command in SNI Client to request Backup DK Barrels.
Any time a player dies, everyone dies! Can be highly chaotic.
Whenever players get hurt, send damage signals to others. May be very chaotic with some game variety.

Shared traps across slots! TrapLink players will send their traps once activated and will receive equivalent ones as well from other slots. Can be highly chaotic in big sessions!
