Donkey Kong Toluca features a bunch of shuffling options setting it similar to DKC and DKC2 in Archipelago. All of the features present are:

Donkey Kong Toluca in Archipelago allows players to go through the DK isle with new features and Quality of Life changes that aim to make your journey quite enjoyable! All of the features present are:

• Open world
• Random starting world
• Level shuffle
• Ability & item shuffle
• A lot of locations, some are very hidden!
• Different logic difficulty levels
• EnergyLink support
• Universal tracker support
• ROM-less generation

There are several quality of life changes to keep players engaged, those are further disclosed on their respective sections.

There are a few Quality of Life additions for this game. The original game is quite hard, so they're very welcome especially for new users trying out this randomizer!

• Backup DK Barrels: There are items with this name that allows players to summon one DK Barrel at any point with L or R. If they have the maximum amount of Kongs on screen, an extra hit will be granted which allows players to tank one hit without losing a Kong. A [K] letter will be drawn on the bottom left corner to indicate that an extra hit is active.
• KONG letters always saved: The letters are now persistent between levels and are saved upon getting them, allowing for some Out of Logic scenarios in all logic settings.
• Goal always visible on map: A label is displayed inside worlds that indicate how many level clears are required to visit the world's boss.
• Carry up to six trade items: Since trade shuffle exists, you may need to fit the entire inventory at once up there.
• Kong-fused Cliffs longer rope: The flames in the ropes are now much lower... it creates a small visual glitch, but the level flows so much nicely now.
• Banana Radar: Spawns a fast spinning banana on hidden collectibles found in levels.

Toluca in Archipelago has quite a few added locations, some can be a bit tricky.

• Level Clears: Beat a level, send a location. Simple.
• Bonus Rooms: Clear a bonus room, send a location.
• KONG: Collect all four KONG letters to send a location. Can be toggled.
• DK Coin: Collect the hidden DK Coin in levels. Can be toggled.
• Bear Coins: Collect a banana coin to send a location. Can be toggled.
• Balloons: Collect a colored balloon to send a location. Can be toggled.
• Banana Bunches: Collect banana bunches to send a location. Can be toggled.
• Swanky: Complete the games VS Cranky to send a location. Can be toggled.

Toluca has support for a few linked features that allows players to interact in a interesting ways with other players.

Whenever players with EnergyLink active collect a banana, they will deposit a fraction of it in a shared Banana bank which gets converted to EnergyLink power (in bananas). DKC2 players with EnergyLink active can spend EnergyLink Bananas to purchase Backup DK Barrels which then they can use at any time in game.

Players can make use of the /request NUMBER command in SNI Client to request Backup DK Barrels.
